Overjet introduced Ivy, AI software it calls an insurance coordinator for dental practices, in a release dated October 19, 2026. The company says Ivy verifies eligibility and benefits, calls insurers when information isn’t readily available, and combines what it finds with the practice’s fees to build a patient cost estimate before treatment.
What happened
Ivy was announced in a post on Overjet’s own site, dated October 19, 2026 in its newsroom. The company says Ivy checks coverage limits and exclusions, gets real-time feedback from payers and pulls eligibility and benefits ahead of appointments or on demand. It then prepares an estimate from the practice’s fee schedules. Your team can see the remaining benefits, deductibles and frequency limits behind each number, according to the release.
According to the release, the October 19 launch includes patient cost estimates, a redesigned dashboard and payer calling. Payer calling is meant to get missing answers when digital sources leave gaps and to record what it finds for staff.
Ivy also connects with participating payers through Overjet’s ReviewPASS, which gives real-time feedback on whether a claim for an eligible procedure can skip manual clinical review. The release says ReviewPASS availability varies by payer and procedure, and that estimates and review results are not guarantees of coverage or payment.
Two early customers are quoted in the announcement. Carolina Pines Dentistry’s insurance coordinator says Ivy saves a full week of work, 32 hours. Overjet’s release says Signature Periodontics collects $100 to $200 more per day at each of its three locations; the practice’s quote on the Ivy product page gives that range as a daily figure across its three locations. These are customer accounts published by Overjet, not results from a study.
Why it matters for dental practices
Overjet’s release describes the problem as staff on hold with insurers over lunch and a missed coverage limit turning into a surprise bill for the patient. Ivy is built for that part of the front desk’s day. If you already use Overjet for radiograph analysis, it’s the same vendor; our Overjet review covers the imaging side and its FDA clearances.
Before you book a demo, ask how Ivy gets your schedule and fee schedules, which practice management software it works with, and how often staff still have to step in on an estimate.
What we don’t know yet
The release mentions a redesigned dashboard but doesn’t say when practices first got access to Ivy, and we couldn’t confirm that date. Neither the release nor the Ivy product page gives a price, a list of supported PMS systems or the payers that take part in ReviewPASS. The product page says Ivy can go live on a practice’s next schedule, without saying what setup that takes.
