Lighthouse 360 review

Lighthouse 360 is Henry Schein One’s patient communication service for dental practices that sends appointment reminders, confirmations, recall messages and two-way texts from data it syncs with your practice management software (PMS). The vendor publishes no prices and its saved pages say nothing about HIPAA or a business associate agreement (BAA), so both are questions for the sales call (checked October 19, 2026).

Quick verdict

Lighthouse 360 suits a dental office that wants automated reminders, confirmations and recall tied to one of the 17 PMS platforms the vendor lists, with Dentrix and Eaglesoft among them. Several Capterra reviewers say it is easy to use, and several say it saves the front desk confirmation calls. The complaints are price, a basic feature set, glitches and sync problems.

Weigh the review sample’s age. Most of the 40 Capterra reviews were written between 2017 and 2021, and some of their complaints are about features the vendor’s page now lists. Before you sign, ask for a written quote, the contract and cancellation terms, and the BAA. Two reviewers describe billing or cancellation disputes.

What is Lighthouse 360?

Lighthouse 360 is an automated patient messaging service that reads appointments and patient records from your PMS and contacts patients by text, email or automated phone call. Its pages call the product Lighthouse 360+, and the footer says Lighthouse 360 is a Henry Schein One brand.

The vendor says Lighthouse 360+ syncs with your PMS every 10 minutes and that changes made in either system update the other. Patients get reminders through their preferred method, and AutoConfirm sends their confirmations straight to the PMS, so staff don’t mark them by hand. Continuing care messages go out automatically when a patient is due for a cleaning, and dormant patients get reminders about past-due re-care.

The home page says the product was designed for dental practices, has more than 11,000 dental clients, and is “One of Dental Product Shopper’s best-reviewed products ever”. Those are the vendor’s claims. The only industry its footer lists is dental.

Key features

Lighthouse 360’s main features are reminders and confirmations that write back to the PMS, automated recall, two-way texting and digital forms, according to its features page. A phone system called PhoneSight is listed as an add-on that “will be available shortly”, and Reputation Plus is an add-on the page marks as currently available.

  • Reminders: automatic appointment reminders by the patient’s preferred method, plus procedure-based reminders that carry instructions for specific procedure types
  • AutoConfirm: email, text or automated phone confirmations sent directly to your PMS
  • Recall: automated continuing care messages when a cleaning is due, and reminders to dormant patients about past-due re-care
  • Fill Appointment: a text message to fill last-minute cancellations
  • Two-Way Texting: texts with individual patients from the dashboard, without a mobile phone
  • Patient Messaging: an alert to every patient whose appointment is affected when the dentist is out or the office closes unexpectedly
  • Digital Patient Forms: registration on the patient’s smartphone, with eSignature
  • Online Booking: new and existing patients book around the clock, and you choose which slots and providers they see
  • Front Desk Tasks: daily task lists tied to individual patients, such as a missing email, an upcoming birthday or missing forms
  • Patient Message History: the actual texts and emails each patient was sent
  • Reviews and marketing: Intelligent Patient Reviews to collect reviews, email campaigns with templates and patient groups, and the Reputation Plus add-on to see and respond to reviews in one dashboard
  • PhoneSight (add-on, not yet available per the vendor): internet phone hardware and software that integrates with your PMS

Lighthouse 360 vs. what a patient communication tool should have

Lighthouse 360’s pages list three of the five must-haves on our patient communication checklist: two-way texting, reminders and PMS sync. Support can only be judged from reviews, which split both ways. The gaps are a BAA or any HIPAA statement, public pricing, contract terms, payments and a staff mobile app, none of which the saved pages mention.

FDA status and privacy

Lighthouse 360 has no FDA listing under the vendor’s name: we searched the FDA’s 510(k) and PMA databases on October 19, 2026 and found none. The saved Lighthouse 360 pages make no statement about HIPAA, a BAA or security certifications, so ask the vendor for its BAA before you connect patient data.

Our FDA search covered openFDA’s 510(k) and PMA device databases and looked for Lighthouse 360 as applicant and device name.

Lighthouse 360’s privacy policy, last revised June 16, 2020, covers visitors to the company’s websites, emails and mobile applications. It names Lighthouse 360, Inc and its parent entities, including Henry Schein One, LLC, and says its sites are operated in the United States. It doesn’t address patient data you send through the service or mention a BAA. No SOC 2 or HITRUST report appears in our data.

Pricing

Lighthouse 360 pricing is on request (checked October 19, 2026). The vendor’s pages offer a free demo and a sales chat but no plan names or prices.

Reviewers give some hints, all dated. One reviewer at a dental office wrote in April 2017 that the office thought it was paying $299 a month and later found an extra $34 a month for newsletters it never used. Several reviewers call the price too high for what you get, and a few call it a good price. A hygiene coordinator wrote in December 2018 that the price went up without new features. Get the full monthly cost, any add-on fees and the cancellation terms in writing.

Pros (from user reviews)

Capterra reviewers mostly praise Lighthouse 360’s ease of use, its automated reminders and confirmations, and the calls it saves the front desk. Most of the 40 reviews were written between 2017 and 2021, and Capterra marks most of them as incentivized.

  • Several reviewers call Lighthouse 360 easy to use, learn or set up, though most of these reviewers don’t say they work in a dental office.
  • Several praise the automated reminders and confirmations, and a few say no-shows went down.
  • Time saved is another common point: several say it cuts staff time or phone calls, and a clinic manager wrote that it did away with recall cards.
  • Texting with patients gets praise from several reviewers, and one says patients raved about the texts and reminders.
  • Recall reminders for overdue patients get praise from several reviewers, and several use the mass emails and texts for closures, benefit reminders and promotions.
  • Several say it works well with their PMS. One names Dentrix; another names MacPractice, which isn’t on the vendor’s current list.
  • A few use the text to fill last-minute openings. One dental office wrote in December 2020 that a last-minute message fills the slot almost every time.
  • A few praise support as helpful or quick, and a few mention online reviews as a plus.

Cons (from user reviews)

Capterra reviewers’ main complaints about Lighthouse 360 are price, a basic feature set, glitches and sync problems with the PMS. Support complaints are fewer, and the billing and cancellation complaints are the harshest.

  • Several say the price is too high for the features. A dentist and owner wrote in February 2021 that other services offered more for the same price.
  • Several call it basic or short on features. One office wrote in January 2020 that it had seen no feature update in years, and one in March 2020 that patients couldn’t book online. The vendor’s page now lists online booking.
  • Several report glitches, lag, crashes or outages. One reviewer says the software went down about 5 times in 2 years.
  • A few describe sync or write-back gaps. One says the 10-minute sync sometimes took an hour, and a dental office manager wrote in June 2022 that forms didn’t populate the Dentrix family file or document center.
  • Reminders sometimes went out wrong, according to a few reviewers: the wrong appointment time, messages to canceled or deleted patients, or a confirmation showing when the patient hadn’t confirmed.
  • Support was slow, hard to reach or unhelpful for a few reviewers. Two say email sends failed, including a dentist’s COVID-19 email blast in March 2020.
  • Messages, templates and forms can’t be customized much, a few say.
  • Two describe billing or cancellation disputes. A reviewer wrote in July 2026 that cancelling took about 5 months and the charges continued. Two also describe pushy sales calls.

Three in four reviews in the sample give 4 or 5 stars. A few reviewers left Lighthouse 360 for another product, and a few came to it from Weave, Solutionreach or RevenueWell.

Who it’s for

Lighthouse 360 fits a dental practice on one of its 17 listed PMS platforms that mainly wants reminders, confirmations and recall to run on their own. If you need payments, a phone system you can buy today, a staff app or a published price, the saved pages don’t offer them.

The praise that comes up most often in the reviews is ease of use, followed by reminders, texting and time saved. Ask which data writes back to your PMS, since a few reviewers describe gaps there, and look at the forms in a demo. Review dates matter too: the complaints about missing online booking, review texts and paperless forms date from 2020 and 2021, and today’s features page lists all three.

FAQ

How much does Lighthouse 360 cost?

Pricing on request. Lighthouse 360’s pages show no plans or prices and offer a free demo instead (checked October 19, 2026). Several Capterra reviewers call it expensive for what it does, so ask for a written quote that lists every add-on.

Does Lighthouse 360 work with Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Open Dental?

Yes, the vendor says. Its supported platforms page lists Dentrix Core, Dentrix Enterprise, Eaglesoft and Open Dental among 17 systems, and says the sync runs every 10 minutes. A few Capterra reviewers describe sync gaps, including forms that didn’t write back into Dentrix, so ask what writes back to your system.

Does Lighthouse 360 sign a BAA?

The saved pages don’t say. None of the Lighthouse 360 pages we saved mentions HIPAA, a BAA or a security certification, and its privacy policy covers its websites, emails and apps. Ask the vendor for its BAA before you connect patient data.

Can patients book appointments online with Lighthouse 360?

Yes, the vendor says. Its features page lists Online Booking for new and existing patients around the clock, with the office choosing which slots and providers patients see. One Capterra reviewer wrote in March 2020 that patients couldn’t schedule online, which may predate the feature.

Does Lighthouse 360 include a phone system?

Not yet, per the vendor. Its features page lists PhoneSight, internet phone hardware and software that integrates with your PMS, as an add-on that “will be available shortly”. Two reviewers wanted phone integration or number masking.

Is Lighthouse 360 listed with the FDA?

No FDA listing was found under Lighthouse 360’s name in the FDA’s 510(k) and PMA databases, searched October 19, 2026. The saved Lighthouse 360 pages don’t mention the FDA.
